Zak Kostura is an Associate Structural Engineer in the New York office with particular expertise in high performance structures. He is the Lead Structural Engineer for roof of the new 700,000 m2 passenger terminal building. In addition to work on the Mexico City Airport, Zak provides senior structural design services on international tall building projects. Past work has included residential and commercial tall and supertall structures in the United Arab Emirates, China, South Korea and Poland.
Zak is also an adjunct professor of architecture in the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University, where he provides a focus on structurally expressive architecture. He is also co-instructor of a materials-based advanced design studio.
